Rene Gamero Jr. is the International Technical Sales Executive for Opto 22 in Temecula, California where he is responsible for Asia Pacific, Latin America, and China. Opto 22 is an American manufacturer of IIoT hardware and software products that link all kinds of electrical, mechanical, and electronic devices and machines to networks and computers. Opto 22 products have literally been to space, have been down the deepest depths of our ocean, and even drive relays at the bottom of our Bellagio Fountain. He holds a B.S. Engineering degree from the prestigious Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, California where he worked on projects for Northrop Grumman Space Systems and Hughes Space and Communications.
He was born near the start of the El Salvadoran Civil War and in 1982 moved to Los Angeles when his father was assigned to work for the El Salvadoran consulate in downtown LA as Vice-Consul. During this time, he excelled academically with the help of service organizations like the Rotary Club of Lynwood California.
Today Rene and his wife Tiffany live in Henderson and are proudly raising four beautiful, intelligent, and kind children. To pay back the kindness he was shown by service organizations, and in honor of his father, he dedicates his spare time with organizations that assists all children without exception who are in the greatest need. In his spare time, he volunteers his time and resources to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Nevada, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital of Nevada, and the ACLU of Nevada. For fun he enjoys traveling with his family, losing at golf to his wife, and encouraging his own children to find their voice.
